Kings Hard Shell Grand Tourer Model Roof Top Tent

Are Kings Roof Top Tents Waterproof?

Yes, they are. Both the soft shell roof top tent and the hardshell tents are capable to keep the rain and wind out. Their Tourer, Grand Tourer, and Kiwky models have an amazing high-quality, 320gsm rip stop canvas which lets the tent breathe while still protecting you against rain, wind, and adverse weather conditions. On the Tourer model, the included fly adds yet another level of protection from rain and sun on the canvas of your rooftop tent interior. The rooftop tent’s Tourer design has an open structure that enables airflow and provides protection from insects. Its awnings can be deployed, the window can be partially unzipped, and the window mesh keeps out bugs.

Kings Hard Shell Kwiky MKII Model Roof Top Tent

The Kwiky MkII offers four windows on all four sides, along with flyscreen mesh and a canvas door that lets you adjust for any type of weather condition. Plus, one or both of these sides can be used as entryways, allowing you to customize your vehicle setup. The tent also has multiple pockets for storing your keys or phone.

Their Grand Tourer model has a four-stage water ingress system that keeps you well protected against the rain. Their clever design combines multiple ways and solutions to keep water out.

Their Tourer model will astound you with its tremendous ceiling height as well as the overall structure. Their 75mm foam mattress measures 2.5 meters in length, just under a meter and a half in width in centimeters, and 1.3 meters in height, making it great for even the tallest people.

Where Are Kings Roof Top Tents Made?

They design the majority of their products in Australia. There is no definitive answer to this, given that the company does not disclose where its products are manufactured. However, it is most likely that at least some of the Adventure Kings are made in China, as this is where most manufacturing takes place.

Despite concerns about the quality of Chinese-made equipment, Adventure Kings has a good reputation for producing high-quality products. Adventure Kings equipment may be made in China, but the company has a strong commitment to customer service and quality.

A Kings Roof Top Tent can accommodate up to six people depending on the model you choose. Their Kwiky MkII is limited to two people but their Tourer model has the option for additional annexes.

These optional annexes can accommodate up to 6 people. We love the possibility of upgrading to the optional Four or Six Person Annexes for adding functionality to a fully enclosed room at the bottom. Next to sleeping the area can also be used for eating, resting, or changing clothes privately and all well protected from the weather.

They claim a setup time of under 2 minutes for their Kings Kwiky MKII model and for their Grand Tourer they claim a setup time of 30 seconds.
