REDARC’S Tacoma Overland Build

REDARC’s latest off-grid build is tough, ready to push the limits, and nothing short of the ultimate adventure vehicle. With over 40 years of expert knowledge of powering rigs and building off-grid tourers in Australia, they couldn’t wait to get their hands dirty on a truck build unlike any other.

They upgraded the suspension setup with an Icon 1.5″ and fitted 265/75R16 tires on this truck to make it ready for any trail. On the front, you will find a Warn VR 10 winch with a FlatLink Expert shackle mount. Next to that they fitted an ARB Essentials Recovery Kit and Warn Spydura Soft Shackles making it capable to climb even the steepest rock steps. To stay off the grid and camping ready for as long as possible, they decided to go with an Alu Cab Gen 3.1 Expedition rooftop tent and Shadow awning. A Front Runner roof rack fitted with Rigid LED pods means plenty of roof storage, and the CBI Covert front bumper and 30” Rigid light bar complete the front grill, making it off-road ready.

Toyota’s Own Overland-Ready Tacoma TRD Pro

To create this Tacoma TRD Pro overlanding rig, Toyota partnered with 4WD Toyota Owner Magazine. It’s outfitted with CBI Offroad heavy-duty bumpers, 33-inch mud-terrain tires, a rooftop tent, and more. To power all the added weight, the team also installed a supercharger on the V-6 engine. On top, you’ll find a Prinsu roof rack with LED light bars installed in all three. To make this rig complete they fitted a Yakima rooftop tent and extra fuel and water storage.
